about

# Three song studio quality demo tape from 1988 + one live recording #

After Pink and Black i formed Cosmic 666 with three keyboard players & a drum machine, totally 'uncool' at the time.
I had also decided to make my debut as the 'lead singer' as i had recently seen Neil Tennant of the Pet Shop Boys live on TV and thought "i can do that !" My song writing at the time was influenced by Depeche Mode/Swans/Skinny Puppy/The Young Gods & Yello which produced some dark & interesting Cosmic 666 songs.
We played 25 gigs in London 1987/1988 with the addition of Charlie Shilling on Keyboards who joined the band later.

Re-recorded versions of 'You Say I Said' & 'Running Scared' were released on 7" & 12" vinyl in 1989 & 1991 under the band name Technoquake.

Track Name: YOU SAY I SAID
# YOU SAY I SAID #

you say i said we won't last long
as we drink to the health of our love song
the hour is here that we've waited for
i look to the fire as you walk through the door

dreams become real
in the light of the flickering flames
boys become girls
there's so many here i can't remember their names

flashing sirens in the rain
touching bodies again & again
help me stand to catch the light
watch me fall into the night

You Say i Said that we should meet
more often than we do to keep
our cards upon the table
our heads above the water

but i don't even care
no i don't even care
if i drown if i drown
beneath the waves of your illusions

flashing sirens in the rain
touching bodies again & again
help me stand to catch the light
watch me fall into the night

You Say I Said
